Land Transactions

Whether you are a buyer or a seller speak to us about your land transactions, the earlier the better.  There can be all sort of planning exercises available to make sure you legitimately pay as little tax as you are able to, for example arrangement that allow you to maximise Business Asset Disposal Relief (BADR).

We can help you navigate any tax mitigation strategies but also to assess the financial impact on your farm.  For example if you are selling, will the sale have the desired effect, and will you still have a viable operation after the fact?  If you are buying, can your cashflow cope with the additional repayments?

As well as maximising BADR, there may be other options available, like utilising a pension scheme but these options will be specific to your farm.
